​The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced a recruitment drive for 123 vacancies for the positions of Inspector and Sub-Inspector. Eligible candidates can apply online for 14 vacancies from 7 March 2025 to 6 May 2025.

NCB Inspector and Sub-Inspector Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 123 vacant posts under the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Recruitment Notification 2025 for the following categories:

• Inspector: 94
• Sub-Inspector: 29

NCB Inspector and Sub-Inspector Eligibility Criteria:

Inspector:

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is essential.
• Candidates should be holding an analogous post regularly or have five years of service in the relevant grade.

Sub-Inspector:

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is essential.
• Candidates should hold a similar post with six years of service in Level-5 or five years of service in Level-6.

Experience in law enforcement is essential for both positions.

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit: not more than 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of application.

NCB Inspector and Sub-Inspector Selection Process:

The selection process includes:​

1. Document Verification: Assessment of submitted applications and supporting documents.​

2. Deputation: Selection on a deputation basis as per the recruitment rules.
