Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) is a wholly owned company of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It operates both thermal and hydroelectric power generation plants and is responsible for generating power in the state. As part of its continued expansion, MPPGCL is looking to hire Assistant Engineers (Production) through direct recruitment.

Overview:

Number of Positions:

44 Total (Mechanical – 13, Electrical – 15, Electronics – 16)

Job Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of power generation units in thermal plants.
• Troubleshooting and performing routine inspections.
• Supervising the smooth operation of Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics systems in power plants.
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and plant performance standards.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Mechanical: Full-time BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Electrical: Full-time BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Electronics: Full-time BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunication from a recognized university. Degrees should be recognized by AICTE or UGC.

Experience:

Candidates must have relevant work experience in the operation and maintenance of thermal power generation units with a capacity of 210 MW or more:

• 5 years as Assistant Engineer or above, or
• 9 years as Junior Engineer.

Age Limit (As of 01/01/2024):

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 40 years (Relaxations apply as per Madhya Pradesh government rules for reserved categories.)

Selection Process:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
   • 100 marks test comprising:
     • 75 marks from subject-specific knowledge.
     • 25 marks from General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Aptitude.
   • No negative marking.
   • Exam will be bilingual (Hindi and English).
2. Merit List:
   • Based on CBT results, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification.
3. Document Verification:
   • Final selection will be based on document verification after the CBT.

Salary:

• Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 12)
• Additional benefits and allowances as per MPPGCL regulations.

Training & Probation:

• Selected candidates will undergo 1 year of training, during which they will receive a stipend equivalent to the minimum of the pay scale.
• Upon successful completion of training, they will be placed on probation for 2 years.

Bond:

• Selected candidates will need to sign a service bond to serve MPPGCL for a minimum of 3 years after training completion.
• Bond Amount:
  • General: ₹2,00,000
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD: ₹1,00,000
