Mizoram Police Department is recruiting 259 Constables (Unarmed Branch, Armed Branch, and Mechanic) with a pay scale of ₹19,900–₹44,400. Eligible candidates can apply online by January 22, 2025, through the official portal.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 259 vacant posts under following categories:

• • Constable (Unarmed Branch – UB): 51
  • Constable (Armed Branch – AB): 200
  • Constable (Mechanic): 8
• Pay Scale: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹44,400)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Constable (UB & AB): HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent.
2. Constable (Mechanic): HSLC or equivalent with:
   • 1-year ITI certification in the relevant trade, and
   • Minimum 5 years of work experience in an automobile workshop.

Age Limit (as of January 22, 2025):

• General: 18 to 28 years (Born between January 22, 1997, and January 22, 2007).
• SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years.
• OBC: Relaxation of 3 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms.
• Meritorious Sportspersons: Relaxation of 5 years for General, and 10 years for SC/ST.

Additional Requirements

• Mizo Language Proficiency Test: Required unless the candidate has studied Mizo in HSLC or above.
• Only candidates with one living spouse (if married) are eligible.

Physical Standards:

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 168 cm (Relaxable to 158 cm for SC/ST).
• Chest: 84 cm (expanded to 89 cm). Relaxable to 79 cm (expanded to 84 cm) for SC/ST.

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 157 cm (Relaxable to 153 cm for SC/ST).
• Weight: 45 kg (Relaxable to 44 kg for SC/ST).

Selection Process:

1. Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test (PMET):
   • Tests for Male:
     • 1 km run in 5 minutes.
     • 100 m sprint in 15 seconds.
     • High jump: 1 m (3 attempts).
     • Long jump: 3.30 m (3 attempts).
   • Tests for Female:
     • 1 km run in 8 minutes.
     • 100 m sprint in 18 seconds.
     • High jump: 0.80 m (3 attempts).
     • Long jump: 2.25 m (3 attempts).
2. Written Examination (for Constable UB & AB):
   • Total Marks: 200
   • Duration: 2 hours (100 MCQs, 2 marks each).
   • Subjects:
     • General English: 20 questions (40 marks).
     • Mathematics: 20 questions (40 marks).
     • General Knowledge: 25 questions (50 marks).
     • Reasoning: 20 questions (40 marks).
     • Computer Knowledge: 15 questions (30 marks).
3. Practical Test (for Constable Mechanic):
   • Duration: 1 hour.
   • Total Marks: 75
4. Personal Interview:
   • For candidates qualifying the written/practical tests.
   • Maximum Marks: 25
5. Medical Examination:
   • Conducted by certified medical practitioners.

• ST/SC/OBC: ₹300
