MDL invites applications from Engineering Graduates, Diploma Holders, and General Stream Graduates for a one-year Apprenticeship Program under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

Overview:

Vacancies:

Applications are invited for a total of 200 vacant posts under the following categories:

Pay Scale:

• Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000. This amount is distributed equally between MDL (₹4,500) and the Government (₹4,500) through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
• Diploma Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,000. This is split between MDL (₹4,000) and the Government (₹4,000) under the DBT scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • Graduate Apprentices: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
   • Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field from a recognized board or university.
2. Age Limit:
   • Between 18 to 27 years as of 01.03.2025.
   • Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC-NCL – 3 years, PWD – 10 years.
3. Nationality:
   • Only Indian citizens are eligible.
4. Additional Criteria:
   • Candidates must have passed their degree/diploma on or after April 1, 2020.
   • Those who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.

Selection Process:

• Merit-Based Shortlisting:
  • 80% Weightage: Academic performance in qualifying examinations.
  • 20% Weightage: Performance in the personal interview.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of documents and interviews at MDL, Mumbai.

Application Fee:

No application fees are required for candidates of any category.
