Madras High Court Member & President Recruitment 2025 Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 23 vacant posts under the following categories:

Madras High Court Member & President Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

• Minimum Age: 35 years (Must be born before 02.07.1990)
• Maximum Age: 65 years (Tenure-based role)

2. Educational Qualifications & ExperienceFor President:

• Must be, or have been, or be eligible to be a District Judge.

For Member:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
• Must have at least 10 years of experience in one or more of the specified fields.

Language Proficiency:

• Candidates must read, write, and speak Tamil fluently.

Special Criteria:

• At least one Member or President must be a woman, as per the 2020 Consumer Protection Rules.

Madras High Court Member & President Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:

Selection will be based on merit, through:

1. Common Written Examination (200 Marks)

• Paper I (Objective Type) – 100 Marks (2 Hours)
• Paper II (Descriptive Type) – 100 Marks (3 Hours)
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50% per paper

2. Viva-Voce (50 Marks)

• Candidates shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on written exam performance.
• Assesses mental alertness, general knowledge, ethics, communication skills, and decision-making ability.

3. Final Merit List

• Based on combined Written Exam and Viva-Voce marks.
