J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2024

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 278 vacant posts.

• Regions Covered:
  • UT of Jammu & Kashmir: 227 vacancies
  • UT of Ladakh: 19 vacancies
  • Rest of India: 32 vacancies
• Reservation: As per government norms, including horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates.

Stipend and Training Details:

• Stipend: ₹10,500 per month (inclusive of ₹1,500 from the Government via DBT).
• Conveyance Allowance: Up to ₹1,250 per month.
• Training Duration: 1 year (360 days).
• Work Hours: Normal working hours (10 AM–5 PM).

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

• Graduation from a recognized university/institute.
• Proficiency in the local language of the respective region is mandatory.
• Preference for domiciles of the respective region/area.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2024)

• Minimum: 20 years
• Maximum: 28 years
• Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories as per government guidelines.

Other Conditions

• Applicants should not have undergone or be currently pursuing any apprenticeship training elsewhere.
• Candidates with over 1 year of job experience are not eligible.

Selection Process:

1. Online Examination:
   • Sections:
     • General Awareness & English Comprehension (50 marks, 30 minutes)
     • Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Ability (50 marks, 30 minutes)
   • Duration: 1 hour
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Merit List:
   • Created district-wise and category-wise.
   • Tiebreaker: Candidates with higher age ranked higher in merit.
3. Assessment and Certification:
   • Apprenticeship Certificate issued upon successful completion of training, jointly signed by J&K Bank and BFSI SSC.

Application Fee:

• General Category: ₹700
• Reserved Category (SC/ST/PwBD): ₹500
• Payment via online mode only.

2. Step 2: Register for the online examination via J&K Bank Careers Page:
   • Fill out the application form, upload documents, and pay the application fee.
   • Documents required: Scanned photo, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.

Key Notes:

• Candidates must select only one district/area for application.
• Training is region/district-specific, and candidates cannot request a transfer.
• Apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with J&K Bank.
