Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university
• Age Limit: Minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 28 years as of January 1, 2024
• Domicile: Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
• Physical Standards: Must meet the physical fitness standards as specified by the JKSSB
• Experience: No prior experience required

Written Examination:

• Maximum Marks: 120
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer

Physical Standard Test (PST):

• Activities: 1.6 km run, push-ups, and sit-ups
• Purpose: Evaluates candidates’ endurance, strength, and agility

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Activities: Same as PST, but with higher standards to assess physical fitness

Document Verification:

• Purpose: To verify the authenticity of the documents submitted by the candidates

Medical Examination:

• Purpose: Ensures candidates meet the necessary health standards to serve effectively in the J&K Police

Bonus Points:

• NCC Certificate Holders: Additional bonus points are awarded based on the level of the certificate:
