The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is recruiting for 02 Posts of Research Associate in the Statistical Sciences Division. The vacancies for the said post will be on a temporary basis. Candidates should have a PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, cryptology, economics, or a related field, preference will be given to those who have completed their PhD within the last two years from an institution other than ISI. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 depending on experience.

Salary Details-  ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 per month (based on post-doctoral experience)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Cryptology, Econometrics, or related areas.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their Ph.D. from institutions other than ISI Kolkata in the last two years.

Experience:

• Previous research experience is an advantage, but not mandatory. Research experience will be considered based on the candidate’s qualifications.

Age Limit:

• The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years as of 31 January 2025.
• Age relaxation is applicable to candidates from SC/ST/OBC/Women/differently-abled categories. Additionally, outstanding candidates or those with relevant experience may be given age relaxation.

Selection Process:

The selection process for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2025 will be based on the application of the candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to give an open presentation on their research, followed by an interview with the selection committee. This process helps the committee to assess the candidate’s research skills and overall suitability for the position.
