The Indian Ports Association (IPA) invites applications for Medical Officer Class-I positions in the Medical Discipline at various Major Ports across India. These are executive-level roles, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a strategic and operational capacity at India’s key port authorities.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 13 vacant posts:

Remuneration & Benefits:

• Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 (IDA pattern).
• Additional benefits:
  • DA, HRA (or subsidized accommodation), Medical Benefits, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, and National Pension Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • MBBS degree from a recognized university or institution.
   • Completion of a one-year internship.
2. Work Experience:
   • Minimum one year of experience in a hospital post-internship.

Desirable Qualification:

• Postgraduate Medical Degree from a recognized university or institution.

Age Limit:

• Maximum age: 35 years (as of February 28, 2025).
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PwBD candidates).
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules.

Selection Process:

1. Online Examination:
   • Objective-type test (Computer-Based).
   • Maximum Marks: 100
   • Duration: 90 minutes
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per incorrect answer.
   • Qualifying Marks:
     • General: 40%
     • OBC: 35%
     • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
2. Interview:
   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview based on their test performance.
3. Document Verification:
   • Candidates must present original certificates, including educational qualifications, experience, and category documents, for verification.
