The Indian Ports Association (IPA) invites applications for various Executive Level Posts in Administrative and Traffic disciplines through direct recruitment. These roles offer an opportunity to contribute to India’s growing port sector in key managerial positions.

Applications are invited for a total of 16 vacant posts for the following designations:

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• Assistant Secretary Grade-I:
  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate degree/diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Social Work, Labour Welfare, or allied fields OR a Degree in Law.
  • Experience: 2 years in executive cadre in general administration, personnel, or industrial relations in industrial/commercial/Government undertakings.
• Assistant Traffic Manager Grade-I:
  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: 2 years of executive experience in shipping, cargo operations, or railway transportation in an industrial/commercial/Government undertaking.
• Assistant Personnel Officer Grade-I:
  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate degree/diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Social Work, Labour Welfare, or allied fields OR a Degree in Law.
  • Experience: 2 years in executive cadre in general administration, personnel, or industrial relations in industrial/commercial/Government undertakings.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 30 years (as of January 31, 2025).
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PwBD candidates).
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules.

Selection Process:

1. Online Examination:
   • Objective Test:
     • Duration: 90 minutes
     • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per incorrect answer.
     • Qualifying Marks:
       • General: 40%
       • OBC: 35%
       • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

2. Interview:
   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Remuneration & Benefits:

• Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 (IDA pattern).
• Additional Benefits:
