IOCL Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

Post Name Qualification Required
Junior Operator (Grade I) Matriculation (Class 10) + ITI (2 years) in relevant trade (Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, etc.)
Junior Attendant (Grade I) (PwBD) Higher Secondary (Class 12) with 40% marks (relaxed standard for PwBD)
Junior Business Assistant (Grade III) (PwBD) Graduate in any discipline with basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Experience Requirement

  • Junior Operator (Grade I): Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a factory/manufacturing organization.
  • Junior Attendant & Junior Business Assistant (PwBD): No experience required.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 26 years as of 31st January 2025

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government norms

IOCL Selection Process:

The IOCL selection process consists of two stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Total Questions: 100 (MCQs)
  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Exam Sections:
    • For Junior Operator:
      • Professional Knowledge (50 marks)
      • Numerical & Reasoning Abilities (40 marks)
      • General Awareness (10 marks)
    • For Junior Attendant & Business Assistant:
      • Numerical Abilities (40 marks)
      • Reasoning (40 marks)
      • General Awareness (20 marks)
  • Qualifying Marks:
    • General/EWS/OBC: 40%
    • SC/ST/PwBD: 35%
  • No Negative Marking

2. Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

  • Junior Operator: Physical test to assess technical and operational abilities.
  • Junior Attendant (PwBD): Proficiency test for basic operational tasks.
  • Junior Business Assistant (PwBD): Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) on MS Office tools.
