Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 25 vacant posts for the following regions:

• Region-wise Distribution:
  • Central Region (Tiruchirappalli): 1
  • Southern Region (Madurai): 4
  • Western Region (Coimbatore and Salem): 5
  • MMS Chennai: 15

Pay Scale:

• ₹19,900 per month (Level-2 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC).
• Other allowances and benefits as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Passed 10th Standard from a recognized Board or Institution.
2. Experience & Skills:
   • Possess a valid Driving License for light and heavy motor vehicles.
   • At least 3 years of experience driving light and heavy motor vehicles.
   • Knowledge of motor mechanism (able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
3. For Ex-Servicemen:
   • Armed Forces personnel who are to retire or transfer to reserve within a year and meet the eligibility criteria can apply.
4. Current Employees:
   • Regular Dispatch Riders or Group-C employees in Pay Band-1 (₹5,200 – ₹20,200 with Grade Pay of ₹1,800) in the Department of Posts or equivalent roles.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 56 years (as of the closing date).

Tenure of Appointment:

• Deputation Period: Initially up to 3 years, extendable as per government rules.
• Probation Period (for Reemployment): 2 years.

Selection Process:

1. Driving Test:
   • Candidates will be assessed for their competence in driving light and heavy motor vehicles.
2. Document Verification:
   • Verification of certificates, experience, and other relevant documents.

2. Required Documents (Self-attested Copies):
   • Educational qualification certificate (10th pass).
   • Driving License for light and heavy vehicles.
   • Experience certificate for 3 years of vehicle driving.
   • Knowledge of motor mechanism certificate.
   • Vigilance clearance certificate and APARs (for Deputation candidates).

General Instructions:

• Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be considered.
• Applications must be routed through proper channels for employees of the Department of Posts or other Ministries.
• No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the driving test.
