The Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) at IIT Mandi invites applications for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor (Grade-I & Grade-II). CAIR focuses on cutting-edge research in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, offering MTech (Research) and PhD programs in Robotics. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a passion for research and teaching to join an interdisciplinary team working on diverse applications of robotics.

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in the fields of Cognitive Robotics, Social Robotics, Robot Design & Control, Computer Vision, SLAM, Intelligent Control, Drones for Disaster Management, and other AI-related fields.
• Develop and maintain a well-established research group that aligns with the goals of CAIR and IIT Mandi’s mission.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across engineering, basic sciences, humanities, and social sciences.
• Contribute to the Centre’s growing body of research, including publications and development of research projects.
• Engage with the Institute’s vision of developing socially relevant technology, particularly focused on the unique Himalayan region.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or related areas.
• A proven track record of research excellence as evidenced by high-quality publications.
• A commitment to teaching excellence and research innovation.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to establish a recognized research group.
• Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrated potential as an educator in Robotics and AI.
