IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025

The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025 is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to BS-MS, BS, and B.Tech programs at prestigious Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs). Eligible candidates can apply online for IAT 2025 from March 10, 2025, to April 15, 2025. IAT 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025.

IAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the IISER admission 2025, candidates should possess the following:

• Must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2023 and 2024, or appear in 2025 with the Science stream.

• Must have studied at least three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

• For certain programs (e.g., data science, engineering), mathematics in Class XII is mandatory.

• Minimum marks required:

  • 60% for General, EWS, OBC categories

  • 55% for SC, ST, PwD candidates

Seat Matrix (Tentative):

• Total Seats: ~2363 across all IISERs

  • 2138 for BS-MS

  • 225 for BS/B.Tech programs

IAT 2025 Exam Pattern:

• Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
• Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted
• Language: English and Hindi
