The Intelligence Bureau (IB), part of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has advertised 4987 Security Assistant/Executive positions as part of the IB Recruitment 2025 notice. IB Security Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the IB Security Assistant/Executive Vacancy 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• 10th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.

• Domicile certificate of the state applied for.

• Knowledge of local language of the state/region.

Age Limit (as of 17.08.2025):

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 27 years

IB Security Assistant Selection Process:

To be selected for the Security Assistant/Executive position, the following processes are taken:

2. Tier II Exam
3. Interview (50 Marks)
4. Final Merit List

IB Security Assistant 2025 Exam Pattern:

Tier I Exam:

• Duration: 1 Hour (60 Minutes)
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Tier II – Descriptive Exam (50 marks—1 hour):

• Translation of a 500-word passage from the local language/dialect (chosen during application) to English and vice versa.
