Online applications are invited for a total of 33 vacant posts under the following categories:

HIMTU Various Recruitment 2025  Eligibility Criteria:

1. Professor

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in a recognized university or institute.

2. Associate Professor

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching, research, or industry experience.

3. Assistant Professor

• Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
• Additional Requirement: Must have NET/SLET/SET qualification as per UGC norms (for non-Ph.D. candidates).

4. Technical Staff

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in the relevant technical field.
• Experience: Work experience in a technical role is preferred.

Age Limit:

• The maximum age limit varies according to position and category.
• Age relaxation is available as per Himachal Pradesh government rules.

HIMTU Various Recruitment 2025  Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting of Applications

• Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria, qualifications, and experience.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage of the selection process.

 2. Interview (For Professors & Associate Professors)

• Candidates for Professor and Associate Professor positions will be assessed through a personal interview.
• The interview will evaluate:
  • Academic achievements and research contributions.
  • Experience in teaching, administration, and industry collaboration.
  • Communication and subject knowledge expertise.

 3. Written Test & Interview (For Assistant Professors & Technical Staff)

• Candidates for Assistant Professor and Technical Staff positions may have to appear for a written examination (if required by the university).
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
• The final selection will be based on:
  • Performance in the written test (if applicable).
  • Subject knowledge, research aptitude, and teaching ability.
  • Technical expertise (for Technical Staff roles).

 4. Document Verification

• Candidates who clear the interview will undergo document verification.
• Required documents include:✅ Educational Certificates (Degrees, Mark Sheets)

  ✅ Experience Certificates (if applicable)

  ✅ Identity Proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)

  ✅ Caste Certificate (if claiming reservation benefits)

  ✅ Any other relevant documents mentioned in the official notification

 5. Final Selection & Appointment

• The final merit list will be prepared based on interview performance and document verification.
• Selected candidates will receive an official appointment letter from HIMTU.

• General Category, OBC Category, and Ex-Servicemen/Wards of Ex-Servicemen of HP: ₹2000
• SC, ST, EWS, BPL (Himachal Pradesh): ₹1000
