Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has announced a recruitment drive for 103 workmen i.e Chargeman (Electrical), Electrician ‘A’, Electrician ‘B’ and WED ‘B’ positions at the Khetri Copper Complex in Rajasthan. Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a listed Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise engaged in copper mining and production, invites applications for multiple workmen posts at the Khetri Copper Complex, Rajasthan.

Applications are invited for a total of 103 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Chargeman (Electrical)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of experience in mining installations as a supervisor.
  • OR ITI (Electrical) with 3 years of experience in mining installations as a supervisor.
  • OR Class 10th with 5 years of experience in mining installations as a supervisor.
• Experience:
  • Experience must be acquired after obtaining a Supervisory Certificate of Competency covering mining installations, issued by the appropriate government.
• Additional Requirement:
  • Valid Supervisory Certificate of Competency.

2. Electrician ‘A’

• Educational Qualification:
  • ITI (Electrical) with 4 years of experience as an Electrician.
  • OR Class 10th with 7 years of experience as an Electrician.
• Experience:
  • Experience in electrical work.
• Additional Requirement:
  • Must possess a Valid Wiremen Permit issued by the Government Electrical Inspector.

3. Electrician ‘B’

• Educational Qualification:
  • ITI (Electrical) with 3 years of experience as an Electrician.
  • OR Class 10th with 6 years of experience as an Electrician.
• Experience:
  • Experience in electrical work.
• Additional Requirement:
  • Must possess a Valid Wiremen Permit issued by the Government Electrical Inspector.

4. WED ‘B’ (Winding Engine Driver)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma with 1 year of experience in the relevant field.
  • OR Graduate (BA/B.Sc./B.Com./BBA) with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • OR Apprenticeship with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Class 10th with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience:
  • Experience in handling Winding Engine operations.
• Additional Requirement:
  • Must possess a Valid 1st Class Winding Engine Driver’s Certificate.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years (as of 01/01/2025).
• Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years.
  • OBC-NCL: 3 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen and Meritorious Sports Persons: As per government norms.

Selection Process:

1. Written Test

• Nature: Objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
• Medium: English and Hindi.
• Components:
  • Subject Knowledge (Specific to the trade): 80 marks
  • General Knowledge: 20 marks
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • SC/ST: 35 marks
  • OBC (NCL): 38 marks
  • UR/EWS: 40 marks

2. Second Level Test (Trade Test & Writing Ability Test)

• Conducted for posts of Chargeman (Electrical), Electrician ‘A’, Electrician ‘B’, and WED ‘B’.
• Nature: Qualifying in nature (marks not added to the final merit list).
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • SC/ST: 35 marks
  • OBC (NCL): 38 marks
  • UR/EWS: 40 marks

3. Merit List Preparation

• Basis: Final merit list is prepared solely on the performance in the Written Test.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria:
  1. Higher marks in Class 10th (percentage).
  2. Older age.

Application Fee:

• General, OBC (NCL), EWS Candidates: ₹500 (Non-refundable)
• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and PwD Candidates: Exempted (No application fee).
