Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 212 vacant posts.

• Pay Scale: Rs. 77,840/- –Rs. 1,36,520/- plus allowances

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

1. Law Degree (LL.B.) from a recognized university in India.
2. Must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961 and have a valid Sanad from the Bar Council of India.
3. For candidates who completed LL.B. from 2009-2010 onwards: Must have passed the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) before the Viva-Voce Test/Document Verification stage.
4. Candidates working in the Gujarat Judiciary (Courts, Legal Department, etc.) are also eligible to apply.
5. Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate required.

Gujarati Language Proficiency:

• Candidates who did not study Gujarati as a subject in SSC or HSC must pass the Gujarati Language Test.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 3 years

Selection Process:

The selection process comprises three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test)

• Date: 23rd March 2025 (Sunday)
• Mode: Objective Type (MCQ)
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: 0.33 marks per wrong answer
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General: 50%
  • SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PwBD: 45%

Gujarati Language Test (For those who haven’t studied Gujarati in SSC/HSC)

• Marks: 50
• Duration: 1.5 Hours
• Qualifying Marks: 40%

2. Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type)

• Date: 15th June 2025 (Sunday)
• Mode: Descriptive (Written)
• Total Marks: 200 (Two Papers)
• Duration: 3 hours per paper
• Language: English (Candidates can answer in English/Gujarati unless specified otherwise)
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General: 50%
  • SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PwBD: 45%

3. Viva-Voce (Oral Interview)

• Date: August-September 2025
• Marks: 50
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%
• Evaluation Criteria: Legal knowledge, logical reasoning, communication skills, ethics, decision-making ability.

Final Merit List

• Based on Main Exam + Viva-Voce scores.
