Goa PSC is recruiting for positions like Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs), Assistant Public Prosecutor, and Assistant Research Officer with pay scales up to Level 10. Eligible candidates can apply online by January 24, 2025.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 16 vacant posts under the following categories:

1. Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs)
   • Department: Department of Personnel (Law Department)
   • Number of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
   • Pay Scale: Level 10 in the revised pay matrix
   • Eligibility: Transfer on Deputation
     • Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis, or
     • With 5 years of regular service in the scale of ₹5,500–₹9,000 (pre-revised).
   • Educational Qualifications:
     • Degree in Law from a recognized university.
     • 7 years of experience in legal matters in Central/State Government or 4 years as a practicing advocate.
2. Assistant Public Prosecutor
   • Department: Directorate of Prosecution (Department of Home)
   • Number of Posts: 14 (1 ST, 5 OBC, 1 EWS, 7 UR)
   • Pay Scale: Level 10 in the revised pay matrix
   • Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
   • Educational Qualifications:
     • Degree in Law from a recognized university.
     • Minimum 2 years of experience as an advocate.
     • Knowledge of Konkani (essential) and Marathi (desirable).
3. Assistant Research Officer
   • Department: Goa Gazetteer and Historical Records
   • Number of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
   • Pay Scale: Level 6 in the revised pay matrix
   • Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
   • Educational Qualifications:
     • Second-class Master’s Degree in Indian History, Political Science, or Sociology.
     • Minimum 1 year of experience in research.
     • Knowledge of Konkani (essential) and Marathi (desirable).

• Candidates must pay the application fee via:
  • Online Payment: Through the Goa PSC portal.
  • Offline Payment: Generate an e-challan and pay at SBI branches in Goa.

Note: Applications without payment confirmation will be rejected.

Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting: Based on eligibility criteria and qualifications.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
3. Final Selection: Based on performance in the interview.
