The selection process for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR and Agniveer MR positions includes an entrance test followed by a written examination, physical fitness test, and medical examination. Here’s the detailed exam pattern:

Stage 1: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)

• Purpose: Shortlisting candidates for further stages.
• Exam Format: Objective type questions covering subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, and General Awareness.
• Duration: 60 minutes.
• Total Questions: 100.
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer, 0.25 marks deduction for each incorrect answer.

Stage 2: Written Examination

• Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Subjects for Agniveer MR: Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness (Class 10th level).
• Subjects for Agniveer SSR: English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness (Class 12th level).
• Duration: 60 minutes.
• Total Questions: 100.
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer, 0.25 marks deduction for each incorrect answer.

Stage 3: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

• Activities: 1.6 km run, push-ups, and sit-ups.
• Purpose: Evaluates candidates’ endurance, strength, and agility.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

• Purpose: Ensures candidates meet the necessary health standards to serve effectively in the Indian Navy.

Selection Criteria:

• Final Merit List: Based on overall performance in the written examination, PFT, and medical examination.
