1. Educational Qualifications

Option A:

  • Master’s Degree in:
    • Computer Applications
    • Computer Science
    • Technology (with specialization in Computer Applications)
      OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in:
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Computer Technology

Option B:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Computer Applications
    • Computer Science
    • Electronics
    • Electronics and Communication Engineering
      AND
  • Two years of experience in electronic data processing, including programming, in:
    • Central/State Government offices
    • Union Territories
    • Autonomous/Statutory organizations
    • Public Sector Undertakings
    • Universities or Recognized Research Institutes

Option C:

  • Diploma in:
    • A-Level under the Department of Electronic Accredited Computer Courses Programme
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications offered by a University
      AND
  • Three years of experience in electronic data processing, including programming, in the institutions mentioned above.

2. Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming in:
    • C, C++, or Visual C++
    • Oracle, RDBMS
    • RISC-based computer systems under UNIX or Windows environments

3. Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC: +3 years (33 years)
    • SC/ST: +5 years (35 years)
    • PwBD: +10 years (+ additional relaxation for reserved categories)

4. Additional Eligibility Conditions

  1. Citizenship:
    • Indian Citizen
    • Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan
    • Tibetan refugees (who came to India before January 1, 1962)
    • Migrants of Indian origin from specific countries, with a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
  2. Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in sound health and may be subject to medical examination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data processing and programming.
  • Analysis and management of information systems (MIS).
  • Supporting investigations by recovering digital data from crime scenes.
  • Conducting training and refresher courses on data entry for staff.
