Eligibility Criteria for Union Bank of India LBO Recruitment 2024
Union Bank of India invites applications for the post of Local Bank Officer (LBO) in JMGS-I. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the recruitment:
1. Nationality/Citizenship:
Applicants must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 intending to settle permanently.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India, subject to a valid certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
2. Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
The cut-off date for calculating age is 01.10.2024.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- Persons affected by the 1984 riots: 5 years
3. Educational Qualification:
- A full-time Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Applicants must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate confirming their graduation as of the last application date, i.e., 13.11.2024.
4. Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in the local language of the state applied for is mandatory (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Candidates with proof of local language proficiency at the 10th or 12th standard level will not need to take a Language Proficiency Test.
5. Other Requirements:
- Candidates can only apply for vacancies in one state. Applications for multiple states will lead to disqualification.
- A service indemnity bond of ₹2,00,000 + taxes is required for a minimum service period of 3 years.
