Eligibility Criteria for UKPSC Lecturer Recruitment 2024

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released a notification for Lecturer recruitment in the Special Subordinate Education Service under Group C posts for General and Women’s Branches. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must possess the following qualifications for respective subjects:

  1. Humanities and Science Subjects (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics):
    • Postgraduate degree in the respective subject from a recognized university.
  2. Language Subjects (e.g., Hindi, English, Sanskrit):
    • Postgraduate degree in the language concerned.
  3. Social Science Subjects (e.g., History, Economics, Civics):
    • Postgraduate degree in the respective discipline.
  4. Commerce:
    • Postgraduate degree in Commerce.
  5. Fine Arts:
    • Postgraduate degree in Drawing and Painting, or equivalent qualification in applied arts from a recognized university.

All qualifications must meet the standards specified by relevant Indian laws or their recognized equivalents.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 42 years (as of January 1, 2024).
    Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PwD and for ex-servicemen.

Reservation Details:

Reservation is provided as per Uttarakhand state norms:

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories (General Branch and Women’s Branch): Reservation percentages are applied based on government rules.
  • Horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates is applicable in specific identified posts.

General Guidelines:

  1. All educational qualifications must be valid as of the last date of the application submission.
  2. Proof of age, reservation, and academic qualifications must be uploaded at the time of application.
  3. Candidates must ensure accurate and complete information; failure to meet eligibility criteria will result in disqualification.
