Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2024):
1. General Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
2. Appearing Candidates: Candidates who have appeared for their Bachelor’s degree can apply, provided they possess the qualification by the cutoff date (01.08.2024).
3. Open and Distance Learning: Degrees from recognized universities (approved by UGC’s Distance Education Bureau) are valid for employment under the Central Government.
4. UGC Regulations (2017): Engineering, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and similar courses are not permitted through Open and Distance Learning (ODL), except for B. Tech. degrees from IGNOU for students enrolled up to the 2009-10 academic year.
5. Future Qualification: Candidates who will acquire the educational qualification by 01.08.2024 and can provide documentary evidence will be eligible.
6. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying through exams must produce original certificates (mark sheets, degrees) by 01.08.2024, failing which their candidature will be canceled.
7. Equivalence Certificates: Candidates with equivalent qualifications must provide relevant certificates, subject to the final decision of the recruiting authority.
8. Sub Inspector (Delhi Police): Male candidates must have a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for this post. Those without a license are eligible only for Sub Inspector in CAPFs.

Age Relaxation (excluding Delhi Police Departmental Candidates):
- SC/ST: 5 years

- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deducting military service
- Widows, Divorced Women, Judicially Separated Women:
- General: Up to 35 years
- SC/ST: Up to 40 years
Age Relaxation for Delhi Police Departmental Candidates:
- Unreserved: Up to 30 years
- OBC: Up to 33 years
- SC/ST: Up to 35 years
Additional Information:
- Date of Birth: Must match Matriculation/Secondary Certificate
- ESM Employment: Those already employed in civil service (Group C/D) on a regular basis after availing of reservation are not eligible for further ESM reservation
- Call-up Service: Counts as service for age relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen Eligibility: Must have the status at the time of application and acquire it within a year from the closing date
- Matriculate Ex-Servicemen: 15 years of service required for Group ‘C’ posts

- Male (Scheduled Tribes): Height – 162.5 cm; Chest – 77 cm (unexpanded), 82 cm (expanded)
- Female (General): Height – 157 cm
- Female (Hill Areas, NE States, etc.): Height – 155 cm
- Female (Scheduled Tribes): Height – 154 cm
- Weight: Corresponding to height (for all posts)
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
For Male Candidates:
- 100-meter race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 meters (3 chances)
- High Jump: 1.2 meters (3 chances)
- Shot Put (16 lbs): 4.5 meters (3 chances)
For Female Candidates:
- 100-meter race in 18 seconds
- 800-meter race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 meters (3 chances)
- High Jump: 0.9 meters (3 chances)
Additional Information:
- No Chest Requirement for Females
- Height/Chest Relaxation: Requires district authority certificate
- Appeals: Candidates not qualifying in physical standards may appeal to the appellate authority on the PST/PET ground
- Nature of PST/PET: Qualifying/Elimination only, no marks awarded
- Ex-Servicemen: Exempt from PET but must meet physical and medical standards
- Pregnancy Declaration: Female candidates must declare pregnancy status. Pregnant candidates will be temporarily unfit and re-examined post-confinement.
Medical Standards:
- Medical Examination: After Paper-II, conducted by CAPFs or other approved medical officers
- Eyesight: Minimum vision – Near: N6 (better eye), N9 (worse eye); Distant: 6/6 (better eye), 6/9 (worse eye); no correction allowed
- Physical Condition: No knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, squint; high color vision; good mental and bodily health

Tattoo Policy:
- Content: Religious symbols, figures, and names allowed (similar to the Indian Army)
- Location: Inner forearm (left) or dorsum of hands
