Eligibility Criteria for SIDBI Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ Officer Recruitment 2024

SIDBI is a principal financial institution set up under an Act of Parliament to promote, finance, and develop the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in India. With a commitment to fostering innovation, SIDBI seeks dynamic professionals to contribute to its mission of facilitating credit flow to MSMEs and driving economic growth. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the recruitment:

General Eligibility:

Nationality

  • A candidate must be:
    1. A citizen of India, or
    2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
    3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
    4. A person of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India, with a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit (as of November 8, 2024):

  • Grade ‘A’ Assistant Manager: Between 21 and 30 years
    (Born between November 9, 1994, and November 8, 2003, inclusive).
  • Grade ‘B’ Manager: Between 25 and 33 years
    (Born between November 9, 1991, and November 8, 1999, inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
    • General/EWS: 10 years
    • OBC: 13 years
    • SC/ST: 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years

Educational Qualifications (as of December 2, 2024):

  1. Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ (General):
    • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in specified disciplines like Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, etc., or
    • Professional qualifications like CA, CFA, CMA, or
    • Post-graduate degree (e.g., MBA/PGDM of at least 2 years duration) in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Manager Grade ‘B’ (General):
    • Graduation with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or
    • Post-graduation with 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
  3. Manager Grade ‘B’ (Legal):
    • Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • Desirable: Master’s degree in Law or Company Secretary (CS) qualification.
  4. Manager Grade ‘B’ (IT):
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or MCA with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • Relevant certifications and expertise in AI/ML, Security, Application Development, or IT Infrastructure are desirable.

Work Experience:

  • Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’: Minimum 2 years (waived for candidates with CA or MBA/PGDM qualifications).
  • Manager Grade ‘B’ (General/Legal/IT): Minimum 5 years in relevant sectors like RBI, SIDBI, Scheduled Commercial Banks, or NBFCs.

Reservation Policy:

  • Reservations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD as per Government of India guidelines.
  • PwBD categories include hearing, visual, locomotor, and intellectual disabilities.
