Eligibility Criteria for IREL (India) Ltd. Apprentices Recruitment 2024

IREL (India) Limited, a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy, invites applications for 23 Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at its Rare Earths Division (RED), Udyogamandal, Kochi, Kerala. The detailed eligibility criteria  for various apprentice roles are as follows:

General Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit:
  • Minimum: 18 years.
  • Maximum: 25 years as of the application closing date.
  • Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: Up to 5 years.
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 3 years.
    • PWBD: Up to 10 years.
• Academic Mode: Only qualifications obtained through full-time mode are accepted. Distance, part-time, or correspondence education is not eligible.
• Additional Criteria:
  • Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship training previously.
  • Higher/professional qualifications beyond the specified criteria are not eligible.

Graduate Apprentices

1. Civil Engineering
   • Educational Qualification: B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
   • Vacancy: 1
2. Computer Engineering
   • Educational Qualification: B.Tech. in Computer Engineering.
   • Vacancy: 1
3. Chemical Engineering
   • Educational Qualification: B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering.
   • Vacancy: 4
4. Mechanical Engineering
   • Educational Qualification: B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
   • Vacancy: 1

Technician Apprentices

1. Mechanical Engineering
   • Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
   • Vacancy: 1

Trade Apprentices

1. Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant – LACP)
   • Educational Qualification:
     • B.Sc. in Chemistry or
     • ITI in Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) trade.
   • Vacancy: 5 (4 for B.Sc. Chemistry, 1 for ITI).
2. B.Sc. Physics
   • Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Physics.
   • Vacancy: 1
3. Fitter
   • Educational Qualification: ITI in Fitter trade.

4. Welder
