DRDO Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2024

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • Candidates must hold either of the following qualifications in the relevant discipline:
     • Graduate Degree (BE/B.Tech): First division from a recognized university in a professional course, along with a valid GATE score.
     • Postgraduate Degree (ME/M.Tech): First division at both undergraduate (BE/B.Tech) and postgraduate (ME/M.Tech) levels in the respective discipline from a recognized university.
2. Relevant Disciplines:
   • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
   • Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
   • Electrical Engineering (EE)
   • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
3. Age Limit:
   • Candidates must not exceed 28 years of age as of November 1, 2024.
   • Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories as per Government of India rules.
4. Nationality:
   • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Fellowship Details:

• Stipend: ₹37,000/- per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible.
• Tenure: Initially 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 4 years.

2. On the interview day, bring the following:
   • Duly filled application form (format provided in the advertisement).
   • Original certificates and self-attested copies related to qualifications, experience, and identity.
   • A recent passport-sized photo affixed to the application form.
   • Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.).
   • NOC (if employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies).

Selection Process:

1. Application Submission:
   • Candidates must express their willingness to attend the walk-in interview by sending an email to hrdlrde2010[at]gmail.com before December 10, 2024. The email subject should specify the discipline, e.g., “Application for the post of JRF – [Discipline].”
2. Walk-in-Interview:
   • Candidates are required to attend the walk-in interview on the specified dates:
     • December 12, 2024: For Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
     • December 13, 2024: For Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
     • Venue: LRDE, DRDO Township, CV Raman Nagar, Bengaluru – 560093
     • Reporting Time: Between 08:30 and 09:30 AM
     • Note: Latecomers will not be entertained.
3. Verification of Documents:
   • On the day of the interview, candidates must report between 08:30 AM and 09:30 AM at the LRDE Main Gate Reception.
   • Candidates must bring the following:
     • Original certificates and self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience (if any), and identity proof.
     • A recent passport-sized photograph affixed to the application form.
     • Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.).
     • NOC (if employed in a Government Department, PSU, or Autonomous Body).
4. Screening Process:
   • Document verification will begin at 09:30 AM.
   • A written test may be conducted if required, followed by a personal interview.
5. Final Selection:
   • The final selection will be based on merit, determined by performance in the interview and/or written test (if conducted).
   • A merit panel will be prepared for current and anticipated vacancies, valid for one year.
