The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is an agency under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, responsible for the development of technology for use by the military. The Instruments Research & Development Establishment (IRDE) is a premier laboratory of DRDO engaged in the research and development of advanced optical and electro-optical instrumentation.

IRDE, DRDO invites applications from retired officials from Central Government/State Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies having considerable experience in the functioning of Central Government Ministries/Departments for engagement as Consultants on a short-term contract basis.

Overview:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Retired Officials:

• Must have retired from Central Government/State Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies.
• Should have practical knowledge and experience in their respective fields.
• Must be below 63 years of age as on the closing date of application.

2. Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in handling administrative, financial, and legal matters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level administrative support to the department.
• Assist in the preparation and review of documents and reports.
• Offer expert advice on policy formulation and implementation.
• Facilitate coordination between various departments and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and policies.

Remuneration:

• The selected candidates will be paid a consolidated fee as per the norms of DRDO.
• No other allowances such as DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc., will be admissible.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection will be based on the evaluation of the applications and an interview.
