The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) is an agency under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, responsible for the development of technology for use by the military. DRDO is committed to enhancing self-reliance in defence systems and undertakes design & development leading to the production of world-class weapon systems and equipment.

DRDO invites applications from retired officials from the Central Government, State Government, PSUs, and Autonomous Bodies for engagement as Consultants on a short-term contract basis. The role involves leveraging your extensive experience in government operations to contribute to DRDO’s mission.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Experience: Retired officials with considerable experience in the functioning of Central Government Ministries/Departments. Preference will be given to those with experience working with DRDO.
• Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 63 years as of the closing date of application.
• Skills: Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a strong flair for in-depth examination of work areas.

Remuneration:

• For Pensioners: A fixed monthly amount arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. This amount remains unchanged for the contract term.
• For Non-Pensioners: Maximum consolidated monthly remuneration as per the equivalent pay scales of the 7th CPC, with specific amounts detailed in the advertisement.
• Conveyance Allowance: Fixed monthly amount for commuting between residence and workplace, varying by pay level.

General Terms & Conditions:

• Consultants will not be entitled to any allowances/benefits such as Dearness Allowance, Transport Facility, Residential Accommodation, Personal Staff, CGHS, Medical reimbursement, etc.
• The engagement is purely on a contract basis and does not confer any right for regular appointment in DRDO.
