DEE Assam is recruiting Assistant Teachers for 2,900 Lower Primary and 1,600 Upper Primary school posts with a pay scale of ₹14,000–₹70,000. Eligible candidates can apply online from February 15 to March 31, 2025.

Applications are invited for a total of 4500 vacant posts under the following categories:

• Assistant Teachers for Lower Primary Schools: 2,900 posts
• Assistant Teachers for Upper Primary Schools:
  • Assistant Teacher: 1,600 posts
  • Science Teacher: Posts to be specified
  • Hindi Teacher: Posts to be specified

Eligibility Criteria:

General Requirements for All Posts:

1. Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025):
   • General: 18–40 years
   • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 42 years
   • OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years
   • SC/ST(P)/ST(H): Up to 45 years
   • PwD: Up to 50 years
2. Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
3. Language Proficiency:
   • Language-I or Language-II in ATET/CTET must match the medium of instruction of the school applied for.

For Lower Primary Schools:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
• Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary.

For Upper Primary Schools:

• Assistant Teacher:
  • Graduation from a recognized university and
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary.
• Science Teacher:
  • B.Sc. from a recognized university and
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary.
• Hindi Teacher:
  • Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects from a recognized university and
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary.

Selection Process:

1. Merit List: Prepared district-wise and category-wise based on academic performance and TET scores.
2. Document Verification: Verification of documents for shortlisted candidates.

How to Apply:

1. Online Application: Applications must be submitted at https://dee.assam.gov.in.
2. Required Documents (to be uploaded):
   • Passport-sized photograph.
   • HSLC Admit Card (age proof).
   • Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets.
   • Assam TET/CTET certificate and mark sheet.
   • Permanent resident certificate.
   • Caste certificate (if applicable).
   • Disability certificate (if applicable).
3. Candidates must ensure the accuracy of their submissions, as discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
