Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Miniratna Company under the Government of India, invites online applications from Indian citizens for the Rigger Trainee position under a two-year Apprenticeship Training program as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Essential: Pass in 8th Standard.
• Note: Graduates, Diploma holders, or candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.

2. Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years (as of 31 December 2024).
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years

3. Physical Requirements:

Candidates must meet the physical standards required for the role, as detailed in Annexure-I of the official notification.

Selection Process:

1. Physical Test:

• Total Marks: 100
• Minimum Passing Marks:
  • General/EWS: 50 marks
  • OBC: 45 marks
  • SC: 40 marks

2. Document Verification:

Shortlisted candidates must produce original and self-attested copies of:

• Proof of Age
• Educational Certificates
• Caste/EWS Certificates

3. Screening Test (If Required):

• CSL reserves the right to conduct a written test if the number of applicants exceeds expectations.
