Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a premier Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ company under the Government of India, invites online applications from Indian citizens for the position of Project Assistant (Logistics) on a fixed-term contract basis.

Overview:

Vacancy:

Position: Project Assistant (Logistics)

• Vacancies: 2 (UR)
• Educational Qualification:
  • Essential: Minimum three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (except Fine Arts/Performing Arts), Commerce, Science, Computer Applications, or Business Administration from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in computer applications such as SAP, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Experience:
  • Essential: Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance and related activities.
  • Desirable:
    • Work experience with Customs House Agents (CHA).
    • Experience dealing with Customs officials and preparing reports/returns under IGCR rules.
    • Hands-on experience with the ICEGATE portal.
    • Handling legal issues/disputes related to Customs.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Fixed-term contract up to 3 years, renewable annually based on performance and project requirements.
• Place of Posting: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) or project sites across India as per the company’s needs.

Remuneration:

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 30 years as of December 13, 2024 (born on or after December 14, 1994).
• Age Relaxation:
  • As per Government of India guidelines for PwBD and Ex-servicemen.
  • Maximum age after relaxation: 45 years.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Objective Type Test: (50 Marks)
   • Duration: 60 minutes.
   • Areas: General knowledge (10 marks) and subject-based (40 marks).
   • No negative marking.
2. Descriptive Type Test: (20 Marks)
   • Duration: 45 minutes.
   • Focus on activities related to customs clearance.
3. PowerPoint Presentation: (30 Marks)
   • Assessment of relevant work experience.

Final Merit List: Based on the total score of 100 marks. In the case of a tie, preference will be given to candidates with higher marks in the subject-based section of the Objective Test.

• SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted from the application fee.
