The CSIR-NGRI Scientist Recruitment 2025 offers 19 government research positions in Hyderabad, with a ₹1,34,907/- salary per month for Ph.D. holders in geophysics, geosciences, earth sciences, and related fields. Eligible candidates can apply online from March 17 to April 21, 2025.

CSIR-NGRI Scientist Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 19 vacant scientist posts under the NGRI Recruitment 2025.

CSIR-NGRI Scientist Eligibility Criteria:

1. Seismic / Seismology (5 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geophysics/Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Physical Sciences with specialization in Seismology.

2. Gravity / Magnetic / GPS / Geothermal (3 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geophysics/Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Physical Sciences with specialization in Gravity, Magnetic, GPS, or Geothermal studies.

3. AI / ML / Deep Learning in Geophysics (2 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geophysics/Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Physical Sciences with a specialization in AI/ML/Deep Learning for geophysical applications.

4. Paleoseismology / Gas Hydrates / Exploration & Engineering Geophysics (3 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geophysics/Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Physical Sciences with specialization in Paleoseismology, Gas Hydrates, Exploration Geophysics, or Engineering Geophysics.

5. Electrical / Electromagnetic Geophysics / Geo-electromagnetism (3 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geophysics/Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Physical Sciences with specialization in Electrical/Electromagnetic Geophysics, Geo-electromagnetism.

6. Geochemistry / Geochronology / Structural Geology / Remote Sensing / GIS / Rock Mechanics (3 Posts)

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Submitted) in Geochemistry, Geochronology, Isotope Geology, Structural Geology, Remote Sensing & GIS, Active Tectonics Studies, Palaeomagnetism, Rock Mechanics.

CSIR-NGRI Scientist Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting: Based on educational qualifications, research experience, and publications.
2. Interview: Candidates shortlisted by the screening committee will be called for an interview.
