Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- 10+2/XII or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute.
- Proficiency in Stenography as per DoPT norms.
Age Limit (as of January 31, 2025)
- Maximum: 27 years for UR/EWS; 32 years for ST (relaxation as per government norms).
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Selection Process:
- Written Examination:
- Mode: OMR/Computer-Based Objective Type
- Sections:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks
- General Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks
- English Language: 100 questions, 100 marks
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per incorrect answer
- Total Duration: 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe)
- Stenography Proficiency Test:
- Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 words per minute (wpm).
- Transcription Time:
- English: 50 minutes (70 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
- Hindi: 65 minutes (90 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
- Merit List:
- Based on performance in the written exam.
- Stenography test is qualifying in nature.
