Vacancy Details:

• Position: Junior Stenographer

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

• 10+2/XII or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute.
• Proficiency in Stenography as per DoPT norms.

Age Limit (as of January 31, 2025)

• Maximum: 27 years for UR/EWS; 32 years for ST (relaxation as per government norms).
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years

Selection Process:

1. Written Examination:
   • Mode: OMR/Computer-Based Objective Type
   • Sections:
     • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks
     • General Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks
     • English Language: 100 questions, 100 marks
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per incorrect answer
   • Total Duration: 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe)
2. Stenography Proficiency Test:
   • Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 words per minute (wpm).
   • Transcription Time:
     • English: 50 minutes (70 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
     • Hindi: 65 minutes (90 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
3. Merit List:
   • Based on performance in the written exam.
   • Stenography test is qualifying in nature.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (non-refundable).
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees: Exempted.
