• 10+2 / XII or its equivalent

• Proficiency in stenography (English or Hindi)

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 27 years (as on 31 May 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

CSIR-IITR Junior Stenographer Selection Process:

1. Written Test—Objective type (OMR/CBT-based)

2. Stenography Skill Test—Qualifying in nature

• Speed: 80 w.p.m.
• Transcription Time: English (50 min), Hindi (65 min)
• Scribe Duration (PwD): English (70 min), Hindi (90 min)

CSIR IITR Junior Stenographer Exam Pattern 2025:

• Mode: OMR-Based or Computer-Based (Objective Type)

• Duration: 2 Hours (2 Hours 40 Minutes for eligible PwD candidates using a scribe)

• Medium: Bilingual—English & Hindi

• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
