Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

• For Project Associate (PAT-I):
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Instrumentation, or an equivalent discipline.
  • OR Master’s Degree in Nanoscience & Technology, Nanotechnology, or an equivalent discipline.
  • OR M.Sc. in Electronics, Physics, Applied Optics, Photonics, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
• For Project Associate (PAT-II):
  • Same as above (PAT-I) qualifications.

2. Experience:

• For Project Associate (PAT-I):
  • No prior experience required.
• For Project Associate (PAT-II):
  • Minimum of 2 years of research and development experience in industrial/academic institutions, or scientific and technology organizations.

3. Desirable Experience (For Both Roles):

• Knowledge of light-matter interaction at the nanoscale, metasurface design, and simulation.
• Familiarity with display devices, meta-optics, and the fabrication of optical components.
• Hands-on experience with photonic design tools for FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) simulations of meta-optics and other photonic devices.
• Experience in the fabrication of micro-/nano-devices via lithography.

4. Age Limit:

• 35 years as of the last date of application submission.

Selection Process:

• Screening of Applications:
  • All submitted applications will be screened to ensure that candidates meet the eligibility criteria (educational qualifications, age limit, and relevant experience).
  • The Selection/Screening Committee may shortlist candidates based on:
    • Written exam.
    • Percentage of marks.
    • Desirable qualifications or experience.
    • Higher qualifications or other criteria deemed fit by the committee.
• Shortlisting of Candidates:
  • A list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the CSIR-CSIO website and/or communicated via email within 3-5 days after the last date of application submission.
• Interview:
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online or physical interview, depending on the situation.
  • Interviews are expected to be held 3-5 days after the screening results are announced.
