CSIR CMERI Recruitment 2025 Notification: The CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR CMERI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for 14 posts of Project Associate-I, Junior Research Fellow, and Others. Eligible and interested candidates are invited for a walk-in interview.

Applications are invited for a total of 14 vacant posts under the following categories:

CSIR-CMERI Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

1. Project Associate-I

   • Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics.
   • Desirable: Background in energy & carbonaceous materials.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

2. Project Associate – I / II

   • Qualification:
     • For PA-I: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy.
     • For PA-II: B.E./B.Tech in Mech./Chem./Materials Eng./Metallurgy + 2 years experience OR M.E./M.Tech in Metallurgy.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

3. Project Scientist-I

   • Qualification: Master’s / Integrated Master’s in Mech./Electronics/Electrical/Robotics/Mechatronics + 4 years experience.
   • Desirable: Robotics, Motion Planning, ROS, MATLAB.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

4. Senior Project Associate

   • Qualification:
     • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Comp. Science + 3 years experience.
     • OR M.E./M.Tech in relevant fields + 2 years experience.
   • Desirable: Microcontroller programming, PCB design, AI/ML.
   • Age Limit: 40 Years.

5. Project Associate-I

   • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Comp. Science.
   • Desirable: Digital Electronics, PCB design, System Integration.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

6. Senior Project Associate

   • Qualification:
     • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Comp. Science + 3 years experience.
     • OR M.E./M.Tech in relevant fields + 2 years experience.
   • Desirable: Python, AI/ML, Big Data Analysis.
   • Age Limit: 40 Years.

7. Project Associate-I

   • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Comp. Science.
   • Desirable: Python, AI/ML, Big Data, System Integration.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

8. Project JRF / Project Associate-I

   • Qualification:
     • For JRF: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in CS/IT/Electronics + NET/GATE.
     • For PA-I: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/Electronics.
   • Desirable: ML, Python, IoT, Embedded Systems.
   • Age Limit: 28 Years (JRF) / 35 Years (PA-I).

9. Project Scientist-I

   • Qualification: M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Robotics + 4 years experience.
   • Desirable: Precision motor control, Power electronics.
   • Age Limit: 35 Years.

10. Project JRF / Project Associate-I

• Qualification:
  • For JRF: M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Material Science OR B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in relevant fields + NET/GATE.
  • For PA-I: B.E./B.Tech in Materials Science/Nanotechnology/Mech. Eng.
• Age Limit: 28 Years (JRF) / 35 Years (PA-I).

11. Project JRF / Project Associate-I

• Qualification:
  • For JRF: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mech./Materials Sci./Metallurgical Eng./Nanotechnology + NET/GATE.
  • For PA-I: B.E./B.Tech in the same fields.
• Age Limit: 28 Years (JRF) / 35 Years (PA-I).

12. Project Senior Research Fellow

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in CS/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechatronics/Biomedical Eng. OR M.Sc. in Physics (Electronics)/Radio Physics.
• Age Limit: 32 Years.

13. Project Junior Research Fellow OR Project Associate-I

• Qualification:
  • For JRF: B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT.
  • For PA-I: B.E. / B.Tech. in the same fields.
• Age Limit: 28 Years (JRF) / 35 Years (PA-I).

14. Project Associate-I

• Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Production/ Mechatronics and relevant disciplines.
• Age Limit: 35 Years.

CSIR-CMERI Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:

1. Walk-in Interview

• Candidates must appear for the walk-in interview as per the schedule.
• Interview Dates:
  • 10 March 2025 (for Post Codes: P-2517, P-2526, P-2529, P-2519, P-2520, P-2521, P-2522, P-2523, P-2527, P-2528).
  • 11 March 2025 (for Post Codes: P-2516, P-2525, P-2518, P-2524).
• Registration Time: 09:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
• Interview Venue:CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, M.G. Avenue, Durgapur-713209.

2. Screening of Candidates

• Candidates must bring all required documents for verification before the interview.
• The screening committee will check:
  • Educational qualifications.
  • Relevant work experience (if required).
  • Age limit criteria.

3. Interview Assessment

• Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated based on:
  • Technical knowledge related to their post.
  • Research background & project handling experience.
  • Understanding of AI/ML, robotics, PCB design, embedded systems, or other relevant skills (depending on the post).
  • Communication skills & problem-solving ability.

4. Document Verification

• Candidates must provide original documents along with self-attested photocopies:

  • Educational certificates (Degree, Diploma, etc.).
  • Experience certificates (if applicable).
  • Age proof (Birth Certificate, Aadhaar, or 10th Marksheet).
