Coast Guard Navik GD, DB Recruitment Salary & Benefits

Coast Guard Navik GD, DB Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process for the Navik (GD) and Navik (DB) positions comprises the following stages:

  1. Stage I: Written Examination

    • Navik (General Duty): The written test will assess knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Basic Chemistry, English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
    • Navik (Domestic Branch): The test will cover topics such as Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Science, General English, General Awareness (Current Affairs & General Knowledge), and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal).
  2. Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Document Verification

    • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates must complete a 1.6 km run within 7 minutes, perform 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak), and 10 push-ups.
    • Document Verification: Verification of original documents, including educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents.
  3. Stage III: Medical Examination

    • Medical Standards: Candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards prescribed by the Indian Coast Guard.
  4. Stage IV: Final Selection

    • Merit List: Preparation of a merit list based on performance in the written examination, PFT, and medical examination.
