Coal India Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, invites applications for Management Trainee (MT) positions in various disciplines. This is an opportunity to join the world’s largest coal-producing company and contribute to India’s energy security and sustainability initiatives.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 434 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Community Development: Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Community Development, Rural Development, or related fields with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Environment: First Class Degree in Environmental Engineering or any Engineering Degree with a PG Diploma in Environmental Engineering.
• Finance: Qualified CA/ICWA.
• Legal: Graduate in Law (3 years/5 years) with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Marketing & Sales: Degree with MBA/PG Diploma in Marketing (Major) with at least 60% marks.
• Materials Management: Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Electrical with MBA/PG Diploma in Management (minimum 60%).
• Personnel & HR: Full-time Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in HR/IR/Personnel Management or MBA in HR with at least 60% marks.
• Security: Graduate with at least 2 years’ experience in Officer/Executive Cadre in Armed Forces or Central Police Organizations.
• Coal Preparation: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering with a minimum of 60%.

Age Limit (as of September 30, 2024):

• Maximum Age: 30 years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10–15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. norms

Other Criteria:

• Final-year students can apply but must submit results before the final selection.
• For Security discipline, candidates must meet physical and medical standards.

Selection Process:

1. Computer-Based Online Test (CBT):
   • Duration: 3 hours (single sitting).
   • Qualifying Marks:
     • UR/EWS: 40 marks per paper
     • OBC: 35 marks per paper
     • SC/ST/PwBD: 30 marks per paper

2. Document Verification (DV) and Initial Medical Examination (IME):
   • Shortlisted candidates will undergo DV and IME.
3. Final Selection:
   • Based on CBT performance only.

Pay Scale and Benefits:

• Training Period: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 (E-2 Grade).
• Post-Training: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (E-3 Grade).
• Additional allowances include Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Perks, PRP, and benefits like medical facilities, CMPF, CMPS, Gratuity, and pension schemes.
• Service Bond: ₹3,00,000 for a minimum of 5 years of service.

• SC/ST/PwBD/Coal India Employees: Exempted.
