Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a premier Mini Ratna company under the Government of India, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Senior Project Officer on a contract basis for its Kolkata Ship Repair Unit (CKSRU).

Overview:

Vacancies:

1. Senior Project Officer (Mechanical)

• Vacancies: 2 (1 OBC, 1 UR)
• Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in one or more of the following:
    • Shipbuilding/Ship Repair Company
    • Marine-related Company
    • Ports
    • Engineering Company
    • Government/Semi-Government Organization
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Proficiency in working in a computerized environment.
    • Ability to communicate in Hindi/Bengali.

2. Senior Project Officer (Electrical)

• Vacancies: 1 (UR)
• Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Experience:
  • Same as Mechanical Senior Project Officer.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Proficiency in working in a computerized environment.
    • Ability to communicate in Hindi/Bengali.

Contract Period & Place of Posting:

• Contract Duration: Up to 3 years, renewable annually based on performance and project requirements.
• Place of Posting:
  • CKSRU, Kolkata, or other CSL units/project sites across India or abroad.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 35 years as of December 3, 2024 (born on or after December 4, 1989).
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for PwBD and ex-servicemen, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.

Remuneration:

• First Year: ₹47,000 per month + ₹3,000 for extra hours of work.
• Second Year: ₹48,000 per month + ₹3,000 for extra hours of work.
• Third Year: ₹50,000 per month + ₹3,000 for extra hours of work.

Selection Process:

1. Objective Type Test (50 Marks):
   • Duration: 60 minutes.
   • Topics: General Knowledge (10 Marks) and Subject-Specific (40 Marks).
   • No negative marking.
2. PowerPoint Presentation (30 Marks):
   • Assessment of relevant work experience.
3. Personal Interview (20 Marks):

Final Merit List: Based on the total score of 100 marks. In case of a tie, older candidates will be ranked higher.

• SC/ST/PwBD: No Fee.
