CISF Constable Tradesmen Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification

• For Skilled Trades (Cook, Cobbler, Tailor, Barber, Washerman, Carpenter, Painter, Electrician, Mali, Welder, Charge Mechanic, Motor Pump Attendant):
  • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • ITI-trained personnel will be given preference.
• For Unskilled Trade (Sweeper):
  • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit (as of 01/08/2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years
• Candidate must be born between 02/08/2002 and 01/08/2007 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deduction of military service)
• 1984 & 2002 Riot Victims:
  • UR/EWS: 5 years
  • OBC: 8 years
  • SC/ST: 10 years

Physical Standards (PST)

For Male Candidates

• Height: 170 cm
• Chest: 80-85 cm (minimum expansion of 5 cm)

For Female Candidates

• Height: 157 cm
• Chest: Not required.

CISF Constable Tradesmen Selection Process:

The CISF constable tradesman selection process involves the following stages:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

   • Male Candidates: 1.6 km run in 6 min 30 sec
   • Female Candidates: 800 meters run in 4 minutes
   • Height & Chest Measurement
   • Weight check as per height & age ratio

2. Documentation Verification

   • Candidates must present original certificates (educational, caste, domicile, etc.).

3. Trade Test (Qualifying)

   • Candidates will be tested on trade-specific skills.

4. Written Examination (CBT/OMR)

   • Total Marks: 100
   • Duration: 2 Hours

5. Medical Examination

   • Candidates declared fit will proceed to final selection.

6. Final Merit List

   • Based on Written Exam Performance + Trade Test Qualification.
