The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is recruiting for 01 Post of consultant for the of Senior Advisor (Engineering). Applicants should have at least 15 years of experience, including 10 years in the power sector and a strong understanding of power rules and regulations.

Monthly Professional Fee- Rs. 2,25,000 (excluding GST)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a relevant degree from a reputed institution or university.
• The candidate should have knowledge of the regulatory framework in the electricity sector and should be well-versed in relevant laws, policies, and regulations.

Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of work experience is required.
• Out of those 15 years, at least 10 years should be in the power sector, preferably in areas related to electricity transmission, generation, and tariffs.

Age Limit: The candidate should be below 62 years of age as of 1st January 2025. However, no consultant will be retained after they turn 65.

• Knowledge of the Electricity Act, National Electricity Policy, Tariff Policy, and the functioning of electricity markets is crucial.
• Candidates should also be familiar with the operational and commercial aspects of power generation and transmission.

Salary: The consolidated professional fee for the selected candidate will be Rs.2,25,000 per month (excluding GST).

Selection Process:

The selection process for CERC Recruitment 2025 involves selection of candidates on the basis of qualifications, experience and expertise in the power sector. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the selection committee.
