Vacancy Details:

Central Railway invites online applications for filling up two posts in Level 2 against the Cultural Quota for the year 2024-25 in the following cultural disciplines:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality:

• Citizen of India, or
• Subject of Nepal, or
• Subject of Bhutan, or
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Educational Qualification:

• Passed 12th (+2 stage) from a recognized Board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (50% marks not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen)
• OR Passed Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
• OR Passed Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.

3. Professional Qualification:

• For Flutist/Guitarist: Must possess a degree/diploma/certificate in music from a government-recognized institute.
• For Theatre – Female Actor: Must possess a degree/diploma/certificate in drama/theatre arts from a government-recognized institute.

Selection Process:

1. Written Test:

• Candidates will be assessed on their general knowledge and cultural knowledge.

2. Practical Demonstration:

• Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a practical demonstration in their respective cultural discipline.

• Ensure all required documents are uploaded and the application form is filled out correctly before submission.

Important Notes:

• The posts are open to all regardless of community, and there is no reservation for any community.
• Candidates must acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within two years from the date of appointment if appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist.
