The Central Bank of India has announced the recruitment of 266 Zone-Based Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale I (JMGS I) on a regular basis. Applications are invited for a total of 266 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications (As on November 30, 2024)

  • Essential:
    • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India.
    • Candidates with specialized degrees such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant are also eligible.

2. Experience (As on November 30, 2024)

  • Mandatory Experience:
    • 1 year in an Officer/Supervisory role in:
      • Scheduled Commercial Banks
      • Scheduled Cooperative Banks
      • NBFCs with a minimum asset size of ₹500 crores.
    • 3 years in a Clerical role in the same organizations.

3. Age Limit (As on November 30, 2024)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 32 years
    • Born between December 1, 1992, and November 30, 2003 (both inclusive).

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
    • 10 years (General)
    • 15 years (SC/ST)
    • 13 years (OBC)
  • Ex-servicemen/Commissioned Officers: 5 years
  • 1984 Riot Victims: 5 years.

Selection Process:

The examination will be conducted online and consists of the following sections:

2. Personal Interview

  • Maximum Marks: 100
  • Qualifying Marks in Interview:
    • General: 50%
    • SC/ST/OBC/PWBD: 45%
  • Weightage:
    • Written Examination: 70%
    • Interview: 30%

3. Language Proficiency Test

  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language(s) of the zone they are applying for (reading, writing, and understanding).
  • Candidates who studied the local language in 10th/12th standard and provide the relevant certificate are exempt from this test.
  • This test will be conducted after the interview stage and before final selection.

4. Final Selection

  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of the online test and the interview.
  • The merit list will be zone-wise and category-wise.
  • In case of a tie in scores, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age.

    • Additional GST @18% applicable.
