 The Central Bank of India (CBI) has announced the recruitment of 1000 Credit Officers for 2025. Applicants must hold a graduate degree, and the age limit for the position is between 20 and 30 years, with relaxations applicable as per government rules.

Overview:

Vacancy & Salary Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 1000 vacant posts under the following category:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification (as of 30th November 2024)

• Credit Officer (General Banking): A Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).

2. Age Limit (as of 30th November 2024)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years (i.e., candidates must be born between 30.11.1994 and 30.11.2004, both dates inclusive).

3. Age Relaxation

Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
• Widows, Divorced Women & Legally Separated Women (Not Remarried): Up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST
• Persons affected by the 1984 riots: 5 years

Selection Process:

1. Online Examination (Objective & Descriptive Test)

• The exam consists of objective-type and descriptive-type questions.
• No negative marking.

Objective Test Pattern

• English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 25 minutes.
• Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions, 30 marks, 25 minutes.
• Reasoning Ability: 30 questions, 30 marks, 25 minutes.
• General Awareness (Banking Industry): 30 questions, 30 marks, 15 minutes.
• Total: 120 questions, 120 marks, 90 minutes duration.

Descriptive Test

• English Language (Letter Writing & Essay): 2 questions, 30 marks, 30 minutes.
• Total Duration: 120 minutes (2 hours).

2. Interview

• Candidates who qualify in the online exam will be shortlisted for an interview.
• The interview carries 50 marks.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General/EWS: 50%
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: 45%

3. Final Selection

• Based on combined performance in the online exam and interview.

Application Fee:

• SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates: Rs. 150 (exclusive of GST)
• All Other Candidates: Rs. 750 (exclusive of GST)
