Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 64 vacant posts for the following:

Honorarium:

• Consolidated stipend of ₹65,000 per month.
• No additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Fresh law graduates who have:
  • Passed the final LL.B. examination in the first attempt with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • OR possess a Postgraduate Degree in Law (LL.M.).

Additional Skills:

• Basic knowledge of computers and legal software.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years (as of the application date).

Selection Process:

1. Recommendation:
   • Candidates must be recommended by:
     • The Principal of their law institution.
     • OR, the President of Bar Associations at their respective Bench locations.
2. Personal Interview:
   • Eligible candidates will be invited for a personal interview at the High Court.
   • Selection will be based on merit, with a maximum of 50 marks for the interview (minimum qualifying marks: 25).
3. Approval:
   • The list of selected candidates will be subject to approval by the Hon’ble Chief Justice.

1. Application Submission:
   • Submit the application form along with self-attested documents and a recommendation letter addressed to:
     Registrar (Personnel), High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay,
     5th Floor, New Mantralaya Building, G. T. Hospital Compound, Behind Ashoka Shopping Centre, Near Crawford Market, L.T. Marg, Mumbai – 400 001.
2. Mode of Submission:
   • Applications can be submitted via Speed Post, Registered Post (RPAD), Courier, or Hand Delivery.
3. Application Fee:
   • ₹500, payable via Postal Order or Demand Draft in favor of “Assistant Registrar for Registrar General, High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay”.
   • Fees are non-refundable.
4. Envelope Super-Scription:
   • Mention on the envelope: “Application for Appointment of Law Clerk.”
5. Deadline:
   • Applications must reach by January 29, 2025, 5:00 PM.

General Instructions:

• Selected candidates must abide by strict confidentiality rules.
• The Law Clerk must not practice law or appear as an advocate during their tenure and for one year after their assignment ends.
• Leave is limited to 8 days per year, approved by the Hon’ble Judge.
• Working hours may extend beyond standard court timings, including holidays, as required.
