Eligibility Criteria:

1. Professor

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in the relevant/concerned discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
  • A total research score of 120 as per UGC criteria.
• Experience:
  • At least 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor or equivalent.
  • Proven record of guiding doctoral candidates.
• Other Requirements:
  • Evidence of contributions to educational innovation, curricula design, and technology-mediated teaching.
  • Candidates with exceptional achievements in professional practice and industry, with significant contributions to their field, may also apply.

2. Associate Professor

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in the relevant/concerned discipline.
  • A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching or research positions in a university, college, or industry at an equivalent level.
  • At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
  • A total research score of 75 as per UGC criteria.

3. Assistant Professor

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
  • Qualified in NET/SET/SLET or equivalent. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SET/SLET.
• Other Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the Course on Computer Concept (CCC) as per Government of Gujarat rules.

Selection Process:

1. Professor

• Method: Direct Interview
  • The selection will be based on an Interview/Face-to-Face meeting.
  • Marks Distribution:
    • Interview: 100 Marks
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic/research credentials and invited for the interview.

2. Associate Professor

• Method: Direct Interview
  • Shortlisted candidates will be assessed on their academic qualifications, research contributions, and performance during the interview.
  • Marks Distribution:
    • Interview: 100 Marks
  • Research scores and publications will play a key role in the evaluation.

3. Assistant Professor

• Method: Written/Oral Exam or Direct Interview
  • The process may involve:
    • Written Test: To assess subject knowledge and teaching aptitude.
    • Oral Exam/Interview: For final assessment of suitability for the role.
  • Weightage may vary, and the decision will be at the discretion of the university.
