BHEL Engineer & Supervisor Trainee Recruitment 2025

Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Applications are invited for a total of 400 vacant posts under the following categories:

1. Engineer Trainee

• Total Vacancies: 150
• Disciplines:
  • Mechanical: 70
  • Electrical: 25
  • Civil: 25
  • Electronics: 20
  • Chemical: 5
  • Metallurgy: 5
• Pay Scale: ₹50,000–₹1,60,000 during training; ₹60,000–₹1,80,000 post-training.

2. Supervisor Trainee

• Total Vacancies: 250
• Disciplines:
  • Mechanical: 140
  • Electrical: 55
  • Civil: 35
  • Electronics: 20
• Pay Scale: ₹32,000–₹1,00,000 during training; ₹33,500–₹1,20,000 post-training.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Engineer Trainee

• Educational Qualification:
  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree/Dual Degree program in Engineering/Technology in the relevant disciplines:
    • Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Chemical, Metallurgy.
  • Candidates with equivalent qualifications in related fields as recognized by BHEL may also apply (e.g., Mechatronics, Power Engineering, etc.).
• Age Limit (as of February 1, 2025):
  • General: Maximum 27 years.
  • Postgraduates (Full-time 2 years): Maximum 29 years.

2. Supervisor Trainee

• Educational Qualification:
  • Full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant disciplines:
    • Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics.
  • Minimum aggregate marks:
    • General/OBC/EWS: 65%
    • SC/ST/PwD: 60%
• Age Limit (as of February 1, 2025):
  • General: Maximum 27 years.

Age Relaxations:

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
• SC/ST: 5 years.
• PwD:
  • General: 10 years.
  • OBC: 13 years.
  • SC/ST: 15 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms.
• Candidates from J&K (domiciled between 01/01/1980 and 31/12/1989): 5 years.

Training & Bond Details

• Training Period: 1 year.
• Service Agreement Bond:
  • Engineer Trainee: ₹5,00,000 for 3 years.
  • Supervisor Trainee: ₹3,00,000 for 3 years.

Selection Process:

For Engineer Trainees:

1. Stage 1: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
   • Shortlisting in a 1:5 ratio for interviews based on CBE marks.
   • Weightage: 75% CBE + 25% Interview.
2. Stage 2: Final Merit List

For Supervisor Trainees:

1. Stage 1: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
   • Shortlisting in a 1:3 ratio for document verification.
   • PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates eligible for up to 40% relaxation.
2. Stage 2: Document Verification

   • UR/EWS/OBC: ₹600 (Exam Fee) + ₹400 (Processing Fee) + GST.
   • SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹400 (Processing Fee) + GST.
3. Required Documents:
   • Educational certificates and mark sheets.
   • Identity proof (Aadhar, Passport, etc.).
   • Caste/Category certificates (if applicable).
   • Disability certificate for PwD candidates.
