BEML Limited is inviting candidates to join its team as Assistant Officers – Security, Security Guards, and Fire Service Personnel. Their are a total of 20 vacancies. This recruitment aims to bolster BEML’s workforce at its state-of-the-art facilities in Karnataka and Kerala.

Vacancy & Salary Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 20 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Assistant Officer (Security)

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Graduate (with first class) in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  • Experience:
    • The candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
      • Successful completion of a 10-month pre-commission training from the Officer’s Training School, Madras, or an equivalent institution under the Defence Forces.
      • Completion of 1–1.5 years training qualifying for appointment as Deputy Superintendent of Police/Sub-Inspector in State Police or equivalent ranks in Central Police Forces.
      • Completion of a 1-year training course for Intelligence Officers in the Central Intelligence Bureau, Research & Analysis Wing, or Sub-Inspectors in the Central Bureau of Investigation.
      • Completion of a 52-week training course for Indian Air Force Police personnel in the rank of Sergeant, Junior Warrant Officer, or Master Warrant Officer.
    • Must be conversant in industrial security aspects, including:
      • Access control.
      • Physical and perimeter security.
      • Intelligence gathering and documentation.
  • Age Limit: 27 years (relaxable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen).

2. Security Guard

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in security duties in one of the following:
      • Defence Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force).
      • Central Para-Military Forces (CRPF, CISF, BSF, etc.).
      • Organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs (CBI, IB, RAW, etc.).
      • State Police (General Duty, CID, Armed Reserves).
      • Recognized Security Agencies (licensed under PSARA) with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Physical Fitness:
    • Candidates must be physically fit to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and running.
  • Age Limit: 27 years (relaxable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen).

3. Fire Service Personnel

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in security/fire safety duties in one of the following:
      • Defence Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force).
      • Central Para-Military Forces (CRPF, CISF, BSF, etc.).
      • Organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs (CBI, IB, RAW, etc.).
      • State Police (General Duty, CID, Armed Reserves).
      • Recognized Security Agencies (licensed under PSARA) with 5 years of experience.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Training in Fire Fighting (minimum 30 days) from a State Fire Service or government-recognized institute.
    • Knowledge of fire equipment such as extinguishers, hose fittings, fire engines, and trailer fire pumps.
  • Desirable:
    • Valid Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) driving license.
    • Experience in a government or defense fire brigade as a fireman.
    • General Fire Fighting Course certification from a government-recognized institute.
  • Age Limit: 27 years (relaxable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen).

Age Relaxation (For All Posts)

  • SC/ST: 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years (additional to category relaxation).
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules (maximum relaxation of 45 years).

Selection Process:

1. Application Screening

  • All applications submitted online will be screened for eligibility based on:
    • Educational qualifications.
    • Post-qualification experience.
    • Age criteria.
    • Required certifications and supporting documents.

2. Physical Fitness/Skill Test (For Security Guard and Fire Service Personnel)

  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Physical Fitness Test to ensure they meet the physical standards necessary for the role.
  • For Fire Service Personnel, additional skill tests related to fire safety equipment handling and fire-fighting techniques may be conducted.

3. Written Test (If Applicable)

  • Candidates applying for the Assistant Officer (Security) position may be required to appear for a written test that assesses:
    • Knowledge of security procedures.
    • Intelligence reporting and investigative skills.
    • Industrial security protocols.

4. Interview

  • For the Assistant Officer (Security) position, candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for a personal interview to evaluate:
    • Leadership and organizational skills.
    • Experience in security management.
    • Communication and problem-solving abilities.

5. Document Verification

  • Shortlisted candidates from the above stages must produce original documents for verification, including:
    • Educational certificates and mark sheets.
    • Experience certificates.
    • Identity proof (Aadhar, PAN, etc.).
    • Caste and category certificates (if applicable).
    • Fire safety and HCV license (for Fire Service Personnel).

6. Pre-Employment Medical Examination

  • Selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical examination conducted by the company medical officer to confirm their physical fitness.

7. Final Selection

  • The final selection will be based on the overall performance in the tests, interview (if applicable), and document verification.
  • Selected candidates will receive their offer letters via email and must join within the specified timeline.

  1. For Assistant Officer (Security):

  2. For Security Guard and Fire Service Personnel:
    • Application Fee: ₹200

Exemptions:

  • SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

      • Degree certificate and marks cards with CGPA conversion formula (if applicable, max. 1 MB).
      • Identity proof (e.g., Aadhar, PAN, Passport, max. 200 KB).
      • Caste/Category certificate (if applicable, max. 100 KB).
      • PwD certificate (if applicable, max. 100 KB).
      • Experience certificates showing start and end dates (max. 1 MB).
      • Latest payslip (if applicable, max. 500 KB).
      • Detailed resume (max. 500 KB).

2. Hard Copy Submission

  • After submitting the online application, take a printout of the completed form.
