Vacancy & Pay Scale:

Application is invited for a total of 01 vacant post.

• Pay Scale: ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000 (Pay Band-4)
• Grade Pay: ₹16,900
• Allowances: As per Assam State Government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

1. Essential Qualifications:
   • Second Class Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics from a recognized university or its equivalent.
   • OR a Degree from a recognized university with Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics as subjects and a Diploma obtained after at least 2 years of postgraduate training in Statistics (recognized by the Government).
2. Desirable Qualification:
   • Doctorate or other research degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.

Experience:

1. Essential Experience:
   • Minimum 10 years of experience in statistical work, research, or investigations in a government department, commercial organization of repute, or research in a recognized university/institute.
   • Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a responsible capacity related to office management, staff supervision, and procedural development.
2. Desirable Skills:
   • Technical knowledge of the Directorate of Economics & Statistics.
   • Expertise in managing office protocols, administration, and supervision of construction, security, or maintenance-related tasks.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):

• Minimum: 35 years
• Maximum: 45 years
• No Upper Age Limit: Applicable for candidates already serving in the Assam Economics & Statistical Service.
